Our dear couple Nicole & Justin, were wed on July 18th at a local park overlooking the Susquehanna River. They were surrounded by their families and a few close friends. And you know what? It was the perfect day! Nicole & Justin have always wanted a day that was unique to them and their love. They didn’t want a large wedding. However, that doesn’t mean that they didn’t have their struggles because of world events as of late. Just like every one of our couples, they had to make some tough decisions, had sleepless nights, lots of tears, but also had lots of love!
During the shutdown, we got to know Nicole & Justin even more as we made sure to stay connected with them as we guided them through this journey. As well as being invited to Nicoles Surprise porch (socially distanced & drive-by) Bridal Shower! We surprised Nicole with this adorable little butter tray from Anthropology. We just adore this couple and all the fun times we’ve had with them. They’re true Lancastrians as fellow city dwellers; we even did their engagement session downtown at one of our favorite bars Shot & Bottle. Nicole dazzled us with her sparkly blush dress & Justin surprised us with his vintage Calvin Kline model aesthetic!
Even though their wedding fell well within the guidelines of still happening as planned, they decided to do an even more intimate affair to keep their guests comfortable & relaxed during this day of love! They decided to share their vows overlooking the Susquehanna River with the gazebo dripping in florals designed by Lancaster Flower Co. The guests had parasols to protect them from the sun and lovely natural fans to keep cool in the blazing July heat. Nicole made her entrance wearing her BHLDN gown, which was customized with hand-stitched beaded sleeves made by her Aunt from leftover material from her tulle overskirt. She wore family heirloom jewelry pairing perfectly with her new Bella belle shoes! We always love styling with family heirlooms and especially Bella belle shoes! This ceremony was intimate and full of love! Mike’s favorite part was the vintage car they rented from Michaels Motors, we styled with the florals from the arbor.
Nicole & Justin, words cannot describe how blessed we feel that we have been apart of your journey! We have had the best time during this whole process from the day we met till now! And even more excited to celebrate with you again next year! You two have wild and beautiful souls, and we love it!
