This song “Strangers” by Maddie & Tae is my new all-time favorite. I was in the middle of doing domestic things – cleaning the staircase of our house, I believe when this song came on. It stopped me in my tracks, and I just sat there and listened. A song that I feel describes Mike’s and my love story and relationship so spectacularly is unreal.

This song fits with so many of our couples, and Allena and Mike are no different. These two make you feel like you’ve known them forever. They are the people who just get you and are authentically themselves and allow others around them to be themselves. How rare is that in today’s world?! In my opinion, it’s pretty damn rare. These are the kind of couples that the entire experience for them and us serving them is just seamless. It brings a sort of connection that helps us tell their story more passionately. A way that doesn’t feel like work, like a conversation with your best friend or partner. Photographing these two is exactly like that. It’s not complicated; we don’t have to think through it – their love and beauty just shine through most joyously.

Allena & Mike are the kinds of people who live their lives. Deciding to summer in Colorado because they work remotely, and then from Colorado, moving to Philadelphia. Hearing their aspirations for their lives is inspiring, and we just adore any chance we get to chat and spend time with them.

These two lovers will be wed at Historic Ashland this coming May with an incredible team of Vendors. If you haven’t had the pleasure of working with the Historic Ashland team – let us tell you you are missing out! Leah’s team is a well-oiled machine! Leah does a fantastic job of surrounding herself with like-minded professionals who put their clients first and are great team players. Because we all have the same goal at the end of the day, we’re on the same team.
