Happy whatever day it is during this quarantine! During this time of not really being able to create, I found so much joy in curating this intimate session for a blog post. This intimate session with Talitha took place during one of my boudoir marathon days! Our boudoir event takes place during a whole day or weekend where we have professional makeup, amazing floral installations, beautiful luxurious robes, and accessories…all of this is included in the price of the session! And since we run these back to back over a full day or weekend, we’re able to lower the amount of what this would typically cost for just a one-on-one session!
This past event we hired Tulips and Twine for florals, Shayla is one of our favorite organic and sustainable floral designers based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! She is all about organic floral design for the sophisticated bride as well as being sustainable by not using floral foam in her designs! Isn’t it crazy how so many florists use this foam while designing their arrangements and installations, but it’s crazy bad for the environment! One of Shaya’s mentors, Tara from Splints and Daisies, is a huge advocate for sustainable floral designs, and we love her so much for it! Another huge part of these marathons is our stylist and designer partner Domenica Stanziola of Domenica Domenica! Domenica designs luxury robes for brides, and the quality of fabric and designs are just impeccable! The best part is, it brings more of a high fashion editorial aesthetic to these sessions, and the client can choose how much skin she is comfortable showing!
Talitha’s session was the last on the schedule since she was doing makeup on the clients all day prior. We were able to take down the floral installation and have some fun with the florals! Unfortunately, this session only lasted about 15-20 minutes because we ran out of light, but we made the most of the time we had, and I have to say, whenever I have the opportunity to get a little crazy with florals, it is a good day in my book!
