Last weekend we spent some time with one of our sweet New Jersey couples exploring the East Coast in the small town they call home. We first met Lexi & Alex over video chat as their consult happened during the quarantine shut down order. Chatting with them was the breath of fresh air we needed. Honestly, most of that call wasn’t even wedding talk! Just chatting with what seemed to be old friends! That’s always the best kind of meeting! While we’re used to meeting over video chat since most of our couples aren’t local to the Lancaster, PA area. It can still present challenges that aren’t existent during an in-person meeting. It is more challenging to open up a more timid couple over video chat than meeting in person! That was not an issue with Lexi & Alex, somehow, we were able to feel their energy and excitement through our computer screen, and we just had the best time with them!

We knew their engagement session would be no different! We started at a local distillery to enjoy some cocktails and get some more moody raw images for their gallery! Lexi was inspired by Nicole & Justin’s Shot & Bottle Engagement session we did last year right in our home city of Lancaster! We got a bit of a more edgy aesthetic with Asbury Park Distillery compared to Shot & Bottle, but with the help of our Style Guide, Lexi knew just how to style Alex & herself! We were so impressed with their outfit choices! So simple but very impactful!

After the distillery, we headed to their apartment to pick up Ollie, their sweet little pooch, for a few images before we went to my personal favorite spot, the beach! We always do a load of movement at beach locations! We feel it adds to the romance of it, and what is an engagement session without romance?! These two will be wed at the Hamilton Manor in New Jersey next October, and we’re so excited!
